I was very happy to receive the Wiimote and the Wii Play. The first thing I did was to test this new game. Here's my review !
9 mini-games are included on the Wii Play "CD". First step was to set up and to choose a Mii.
Shooting
This is a new version of duck hunting and a good opportunity to test your skills using and pointing with the Wiimote. You can either shoot little balloons cola cans or even extraterrestrials ! Funny but after 10 minutes you will get each tricks.

Find the Mii
In this game you will see a crowd (a Mii Crowd) and the main goal is to find your Mii within this crowd and of course you have a time limit. Each time you find your Mii you'll get a time reward. It's better to play this game with friends otherwise it'll be boring.

Ping Pong
I thought this is going to be as funny as Wii Sports Tennis. Unfortunately you're only going to move the Wiimote to the right or to the left in order to throw the little ball. If you miss a shoot you will have to restart the whole game. Each ball exchange gives you a point. The goal is to make as much shoots as possible without missing the ball :-( Kinda boring especially when you are playing alone. I would recommend the 2 players game modus to get more fun.

Bubble 'n pose
Here you must match your Mii with a shape drawn on a bubble. You'll need to balance your Wiimote in order to position your Mii. Not very interesting !

Hockey
This game is very funny because when playing with a friend you will need to put the puck in the goals. The feedback on the Wiimote is really impressive. You really think you were throwing the puck and that you have contact with it.

Snooker
This game with hockey and the cow race is one of the best's of Wii Play. Here you'll have to shoot the balls with your virtual cue. To point just use your Wiimote and make the movement, as if you were shooting with a real snooker cue. Very impressive !

Fishing
Very funny game, but kinda boring if you are playing alone. In this game you have to fish big fishes in a little lake. When the fish is biting on the end of the line, you will feel a vibration in the Wiimote. You just need to pull very quickly in order to fish the animal.

Cow racing
My favourite game ! You are controlling a running cow and your goal is to hit each scarecrow on the farm road. Very funny and playing in the 2 player modus is better ! The graphics are also very funny and beautifuly made. If you plan to buy Wii Play this game should be a buy criteria !

Army tanks
Not the best game and in advanced levels I found it very difficult to move the tank with the Nunchunk while trying to aim on enemies. The fun is killed by this difficulty to control the tank. I would compare this game to the poor mobile phone games such as Snake or Breaker that are really difficult to control.

Conclusion
Wii Play was mainly designed to show the features of the Wiimote. Unfortunately some games gives a strange feeling to have been quickly designed ( such as Army Tanks or Bubbles) without thinking about the gamer's fun. The best mini-game is by fare the cow racing and the hockey. If you plan to buy a Wiimote invest the additionnal 7€ to get the Wii Play package !
